Denver weather: Like it or not temps quickly drop for Tuesday

There's a storm system that will drop Denver's temperatures by more than 30 degrees with chances for rain and snow, too. Factor in the wind chill (gusty wind will be moving through, too) it'll feel like single digits to teens at times.

Pretty easy to see the drop coming in one chart, oh but 70s possible for Easter Weekend!

This cooldown is the same system that will create dangerous blizzard conditions from Wyoming through the Dakotas as well as produce damaging thunderstorms to our east.

There's a lot of snow headed to those north of Colorado, that's for sure. Check out Wyoming and South Dakota with some near-three foot totals.

Considering the dangerous wind that will be creating blizzard conditions, and wind chills near and below zero degrees, the travel and impact is quite high there.

Colorado will have impact as well, as you can see there will be a wintry impact across our mountains and close to the metro areas. Drivers may hit some slick roads between tonight and Thursday morning in these highlighted areas, which include parts of the metro areas.

We have the chance to pick up accumulating snows, so let's see the forecast for that. These totals will be for the next 72 hours. If there's any southern sag to the system, then you could bring the yellow 2-5" range closer to Fort Collins...
