Clearly we are in a wet pattern around Denver, the Front Range and Plains and this phase is far from wrapping up. Additional rain is on the way today, with scattered showers and thunderstorms for the next week. This is, in part, due to the development of El Niño as discussed here:
Does this pattern continue throughout June? We discussed that with our members in our monthly outlook:
Let's see where things sit during the past week in terms of total precipitation received as both a measurement and as a difference from the average.
Of the two images, the second one clearly shows where the wet weather has favored, but also that there are some drier than normal areas in Southern Colorado.
For the mountains, it hasn't just been rain falling... snow has fallen on several spots... a fitting finale to the season at A-Basin.

Meanwhile, across the higher elevations of the northern Front Range, moderate snow is falling. Here's the view this morning from near Middle Bald Mtn, SW of Red Feather Lakes. ❄️ #COwx

Additional rainfall on the burn scars or already soggy-soiled locations may lead to isolated flash flooding. Other threats are theoretically hail and strong wind but those threats increase as the temperatures warm later this week. Funnel clouds are not out of the question, even in the cool weather, as we saw yesterday over eastern Colorado:

There's additional rain on the way, and this image shows an estimate of additional rainfall for the week ahead. Some will pick up another one to two inches!
How does this play out daily? Well, two ways to look at that. First, here's an hourly planner for Denver into Wednesday morning:
From that planner, you can see a general decrease in the rain chances throughout the next three days. This animation shows the estimated radar picture for the next several days across Colorado.
So, we still have wet weather ahead, as you can see. What about these cool temperatures?
We do see a rebound going through the week ahead but considering the average highs are near 80°, it's still relatively cool.
